Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Roger Express upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Bliss Street and Oshkosh Uni Chet were slow to begin. Bliss Street checked off Oshkosh Expert approaching the first turn. Oshkosh Alaska and Bliss Street collided on the first turn checking Bliss Street. Bliss Street checked off Oshkosh Uni Chet approaching the second turn. Mr. Scentric galloped on the heels of Charlotte Allen in the back straight. Charlotte Allen and Oshkosh Uni Chet collided on the third turn checking Charlotte Allen. Bliss Street and Oshkosh Uni Chet collided approaching the home turn checking Oshkosh Uni Chet and Mr. Scentric; Oshkosh Alaska and Charlotte Allen fell as a result.
Oshkosh Expert was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained sand toe on the right hind. No stand down period was imposed.
Charlotte Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left long head triceps (monkey) muscle, and right quadriceps and sartious (pencil) muscles. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Oshkosh Expert, second placed in the event.
