Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Bulk Cairns upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Jet Hawk, Tunisian and Laurie Galore were slow to begin. Lektra Fire and Blazing Lane collided approaching the first turn, checking Lektra Fire, Blazing Lane and Laurie Galore. Bulk Cairns, Jet Hawk and Tunisian collided approaching the first turn, checking Bulk Cairns, Jet Hawk, Tunisian and Laurie Galore. Blazing Lane and Tunisian collided entering the back straight. Blazing Lane galloped on the heels of Blue Marmion in the back straight, checking both greyhounds. Laurie Galore and Blazing Lane collided on the third turn, checking Blue Marmion, Bulk Cairns, Blazing Lane and Laurie Galore.
A sample was taken from Tunisian, the fourth place-getter which performed below market expectations.
