A pre race sample was taken from My Miss Polly upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
A pre race sample was taken from Mum's Soul.
Ecnal was quick to begin. Zall Over and Pacific Miss were slow to begin. Brindle Audrey and Mum's Soul collided soon after the start. Mum's Soul and Addictive Drew collided approaching the first turn. Pacific Miss, Mum's Soul and Zall Over collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds and causing Pacific Miss to gallop on the heels of Mum's Soul as a result. Ecnal and Mum's Soul collided approaching the winning post.
A sample was taken from Ecnal - the winner of the event.
Brindle Audrey was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left metatarsal, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to P Kelly, the trainer of Brindle Audrey regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn.
