Mr B Sands, the trainer of Mr Emgrand declared a new weight of 30.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Mr Emgrand last raced at 31.7kgs.
Bring Sexy Back was slow to begin. Diegonator and Mr Emgrand collided soon after the start. Bashir checked off Inter Carmella approaching the first turn. Bring Sexy Back and Bashir collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds which raced wide as a result. Mr Emgrand, Plaza Firl and Inter Carmella collided on the first turn, checking Inter Carmella. Diegonator checked off Plaza Girl approaching the second turn.
A sample was taken from Zipping Zeus - the winner of the event.
Inter Carmella was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
