Spare Parts was slow to begin. Lektra Destiny crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Camelot Lodge, Lawbringer and Bekele. Camelot Lodge, Lektra Destiny, Spare Parts and Twisted Barrel collided approaching the first turn checking Lektra Destiny and Twisted Barrel. Lektra Destiny and Twisted Barrel collided on the first turn checking Twisted Barrel. Camelot Lodge checked off Bubble Has Burst approaching the home turn. Bubble Has Burst checked off Pyrenees Diva approaching the home turn causing Bubble Has Burst to race wide. Lektra Destiny and Bubble Has Burst raced wide entering the home straight. Pyrenees Diva and Spare Parts collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Gray regarding the direction that the greyhound Camelot Lodge be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
