A pre-race sample was taken from Bills Back upon arrival at the course, prior to kenneling.
Zoltina's Prize checked off Noaki Lynx soon after the start. Bills Back and Mr. Snackman collided soon after the start checking Mr. Snackman and Elite Faze. Tammy Baxter, Bills Back and Noaki Lynx collided approaching the first turn checking Bills Back and Noaki Lynx. Mr. Snackman and Zoltina's Prize collided on the first turn. Elite Faze faltered on the first turn and tailed off as a result. Bills Back and Noaki Lynx collided approaching the home turn checking Noaki Lynx.
Elite Faze was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left triceps and both hamstrings. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
