Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Collins, kennel representative of Allen Malik regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Allen Malik last raced on 3rd September, 2015. Mr. Collins stated that the greyhound was returning from a spell. Mr. Collins also declared a new weight of 35.1kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Allen Malik last raced at 33.3kgs.
Mr. G. Dailly, kennel representative of Glitterbug declared a new weight of 29.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Glitterbug last raced at 27.8kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Blast Away upon arrival at the course, prior to kenneling.
Saahd, Ay Goodes and Straw Hat Luffy collided soon after the start. Allen Malik checked off Blast Away soon after the start. Blast Away and Cosmic Lily collided on the first turn severely checking Cosmic Lily. Straw Hat Luffy and Saahd raced wide on the home turn. Saahd raced wide in the home straight.
Cosmic Lily was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
A sample was taken from Miss Rossi, the winner of the event.
