Steward's Report

A pre race sample was taken from Uno Chloe.

Jamron, True Wishes and Hill Billy Thyme were quick to begin.  Big Mac Mikado were slow to begin.  Nasty Canasta and Smurf's Lucylou collided approaching the first turn.  True Wishes, Hill Billy Thyme and Uno Chloe collided on the first turn, checking Hill Billy Thyme and Nasty Canasta.  Nasty Canasta galloped on True Wishes on the first turn, severely checking True Wishes, Hill Billy Thyme and Uno Chloe, causing Nasty Canasta to fall and Big Mac Mikado to race wide as a result.

Nasty Canasta was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to the handler, Mrs R Busittil of Jamron regarding the greyhound's improved performance this afternoon.  Mrs Busittil stated that the greyhound was returning from a lengthy spell after a serious injury and had always shown ability.  Stewards directed that samples be taken from Jamron - the winner of the event.
