Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. W. McMahon, the handler of Dr. Buffy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Dr. Buffy last raced on 20th August, 2015. Mr. McMahon stated that Dr. Buffy is returning to racing after being on season.
Mr. W. McMahon, handler of Dr. Buffy declared a new weight of 29.7 kg's for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dr. Buffy last raced at 28.2 kg's.
Watch This Space was quick to begin. Dr. Buffy and Another Man were slow to begin. Dr. Brownie was very slow to begin 3 lengths.
Our Miss Penny galloped on Letty Bee on the first turn checking Our Miss Penny, Letty Bee and Dr. Buffy. Our Miss Penny checked off Dr. Buffy approaching the home turn. Watch This Space raced wide on the home turn.
Our Miss Penny was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a broken left hind toe nail injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
