Steward's Report

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Pace, the trainer of Bazz Kebab regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bazz Kebab last raced on 18th August, 2015. Mr. Pace stated that he has taken time to work with Bazz Kebab since being placed on a failing to chase charge at its last start.

Kilbane was quick to begin.  Bazz Kebab, Renajohn and Runnin' Star were slow out. Belron Beale was very slow to begin 3 lengths.

Bazz Kebab and Renajohn collided approaching the first turn checking Bazz Kebab.  Quincey Mc Goo and Dr. Lachie collided approaching the first turn checking Dr. Lachie.  Dr. Lachie checked off Quincey Mc Goo on the first turn.  Bazz Kebab raced wide on the first turn checking Bazz Kebab, Dr. Lachie and Runnin' Star.  Runnin' Star raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.  Bazz Kebab and Dr. Lachie collided several times in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Stewards sopke to Mr. R. Hill, handler of Belron Beale after it was observerd that he recieved something from a member of the public whilst in the parade area prior to the race. Mr. Hill stated that he was given some cash from the owner of Belron Beale to pass onto the catcher of the greyhound. Stewards advised Mr. Hill not to directly interact with members of the public and not  place himself in a similar situation in future,  which could open himself up to further questioning.
