Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms R.Groom, the handler of Lena's Entity regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Lena's Entity last raced on 22nd June, 2016. Ms Groom stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a right hip injury. Ms Groom declared a new weight of 29.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Lena's Entity last raced at 27.4kg.
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Lena's Entity, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.
Proven Babe was slow to begin. Denied Justice, Bomber Marlow and What Joy collided soon after the start checking Bomber Marlow. Billy Lid and Lena's Entity collided soon after the start. Big Black Rocket crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Billy Lid and Denied Justice. Lena's Entity and What Joy collided approaching the home turn. Denied Justice and Bomber Marlow collided approaching the home turn. Who's Got Mavis and Billy Lid collided on the home turn. Proven Brave galloped on the heels of Billy Lid on the home turn, severely checking both greyhounds. Lena's Entity and What Joy collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.
