Spring Trail was slow to begin. Ernest Bale and Montoey collided approaching the first turn. Texas Titan and Droopys Bentley collided approaching the first turn. Texas Titan, Droopys Bentley and Lead Into Demise collided on the first turn checking Lead Into Demise, causing Droopys Bentley and What's Chewing to fall. Spring Trail brushed the running rail on the first turn. Ernest Bale and Montoey collided on the second turn. Montoey and Texas Titan collided in the back straight checking Texas Titan.
Droopys Bentley was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left wrist, right calf and right triangle muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
