Miss Jacovella and Direwolf Ghost were slow to begin. Hashtag Danny and Little Ginny collided soon after the start, checking Little Ginny. Miss Jacovella and Direwolf Ghost collided approaching the first turn. Lynlea Jake and Hashtag Danny collided approaching the first turn. Direwolf Ghost galloped on the heels of Miss Jacovella on the first turn, checking Direwolf Ghost and severely checking Miss Jacovella. Boris Bekim, Lynlea Jake, Hashtag Danny and Allen Yeller collided on the first turn, checking Boris Bekim, Lynlea Jake and Hashtag Danny. Lynlea Jake and Hashtag Danny collided approaching the home turn, checking Lynlea Jake.
Miss Jacovella was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right back leg. No stand down period was imposed.
