Steward's Report
Hurricane Mischa and Sky Blazer were quick to begin. Hook Shot was slow to begin.
Hook Shot visibly eased and turned its head to the inside approaching the winning post, underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Mr David McKenzie regarding Hook Shot’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Mr. McKenzie declined the option to have the greyhopund re-examined. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Hook Shot was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. McKenzie pleaded guilty to the charge. Hook Shot was suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
