Mr H.Clark, trainer of Forever Humble redeclared a new weight of 36.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Forever Humble last raced at 37.6kg.

Jorgia's Star, Nutcase Sambia and Smashing Cans were slow to begin. Forever Humble, Nutcase Sambia and Smashing Cans collided soon after the start, checking Nutcase Sambia and Smashing Cans. Jorgia's Star checked off Azza's Baby approaching the first turn, severely checking Nutcase Sambia which contacted the running rail, stumbled and lost considerable ground. Elswyk Gal checked off Shifty Joshua approaching the first turn. Shifty Joshua raced wide approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Elswyk Gal checked off Shifty Joshua on the home turn. Nutcase Sambia raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight. Smashing Cans and Elswyk Gal collided in the home straight. Nutcase Sambia eased in the home straight and tailed off as a result.

Nutcase Sambia was vetted following event 5, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr P.Romagnino, the trainer of Nutcase Sambia regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Nutcase Sambia with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Romagnino pleaded not guilty to the charge, Nutcase Sambia was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(a)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Queen Elma, Held Hostage and Galloping Teddy were slow to begin. River Bling crossed in soon after the start, checking Fill It Again and Held Hostage. Lopsided, River Bling and Bohdi Sage collided approaching the first turn, checking River Bling. Queen Elma checked off Lopsided on the first turn, checking Held Hostage. Queen Elma and River Bling collided approaching the home turn. Held Hostage, Galloping Teddy and Totally Lost collided on the home turn, checking Held Hostage and Galloping Teddy. Queen Elma and Totally Lost collided in the home straight, checking Queen Elma. Held Hostage and Galloping Teddy raced wide in the home straight.

Fill It Again was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Baggys Quest was quick to begin. Get Along Daisy was slow to begin. Broon Hilda, Baggys Quest and Purple Pie collided soon after the start, checking Broon Hilda and Purple Pie. Purple Pie checked off Bubble Head approaching the first turn. Explosive Sky checked off Flash Gun on the first turn, checking Get Along Daisy. Bubble Head checked off Broon Hilda on the first turn. Get Along Daisy checked off Baggys Quest approaching the home turn. Purple Pie raced wide approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Carbon Panther and Broon Hilda collided on the home turn, checking Carbon Panther.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Quaker Bale and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 2:44pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr R. Camilleri was fined the sum of $100.

Walmac and Blonde Jettie were slow to begin. Hit The Gas, Marly Girl and Gold Anthem collided soon after the start, checking Hit The Gas and Marly Girl. Walmac and Hit The Gas collided several times approaching the first turn, checking Hit The Gas. Walmac checked off Marly Girl on the first turn. Sharina Thunder was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained right pectoral liagment damage, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Madam Model was quick to begin. Run Dora Run stumbled at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Marmion Star, Veetee Havoc, Wisen Up, Alexanderia and Love To Talk collided soon after the start, checking Marmion Star, Veetee Havoc, Wisen Up and Alexanderia. Marmion Star checked off Wisen Up approaching the home turn. Veetee Havoc and Alexanderia collided several times approaching the home turn to the home turn, checking Alexanderia. Runaway Ellie was quick to begin. Gun Law Levo, Snow Mistake and Demon Puzzle were slow to begin. Stewards spoke to Mr G. Dalton, the trainer of Gun Law Levo regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight and in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Gun Law Levo with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Dalton pleaded guilty to the charge, Gun Law Levo was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr D Chapman,  trainer of the greyhound Ultimate Jet  in regards to the extended period of time between the greyhound's races.  Ultimate Jet last raced on the 8th February, 2015. Mr Chapman stated that the greyhound was new to his kennels and had previously been spelling.  Stewards noted Mr Chapman's explanation.

Groover Groover was quick to begin. Spoil The Party was slow to begin. Arvo's Leo and Ultimate Jet collided soon after the start, checking Ultimate Jet. Jet Pack Model and Lil' Bit Suna collided soon after the start, checking Lil' Bit Suna. Collekki checked off Groover Groover approaching the first turn. Jet Pack Model, Ultimate Jet and Spoil The Party collided on the first turn, checking Ultimate Jet, Spoil The Party, Lil' Bit Suna and severely checking Jet Pack Model. Arvo's Leo checked off Map It Out approaching the home turn. Collekki checked off Map It Out entering the home straight. Groover Groover checked off Map It Out in the home straight. Collekki and Groover Groover collided approaching the winning post.

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Snow Good trialled over the 460m from box 8, weight 26.8kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 22.92, the greyhound won by a margin 6.75 lengths. Snow Good was cleared.
