Runaway Ellie was quick to begin. Gun Law Levo, Snow Mistake and Demon Puzzle were slow to begin. Snow Mistake, Demon Puzzle and Amber Diane collided soon after the start, checking Demon Puzzle and Amber Diane. Gun Law Levo and Snow Mistake collided approaching the first turn, checking Snow Mistake. Magic Jack Rosie crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Runaway Ellie, Hip Hop Emmy, Gun Law Levo and Snow Mistake. Runaway Ellie and Hip Hop Emmy collided approaching the home turn, checking Hip Hop Emmy and Bandit Brad. Demon Puzzle checked off Snow Mistake approaching the home turn. Gun Law Levo and Runaway Ellie collided several times on the home turn. Gun Law Levo eased entering the home straight and again in the home straight.
Gun Law Levo was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr G. Dalton, the trainer of Gun Law Levo regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight and in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Gun Law Levo with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Dalton pleaded guilty to the charge, Gun Law Levo was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
