Steward's Report
Black Hua went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Miss Adok was slow to begin. Ace Marlow, Blackpool Shaz and Seabrook Indi collided approaching the first turn checking Seabrook Indi. Miss Adok and Seabrook Indi collided on the first turn. Spirited Bingle eased entering the home straight. Spirited Bingle and Ace Marlow collided entering the home straight checking Spirited Bingle. Why Not George raced wide in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Morrissey, the trainer of the greyhound Spirited Bingle regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Spirited Bingle was vetted and re-vetted following event 4. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right wrist and left groin, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Spirited Bingle with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Morrissey pleaded guilty to the charge, Spirited Bingle was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
