Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Yes Sarge engaged in this event on 6th October 2016, pursuant to GAR 79A.
Segla, Lightning Frank and Eddie Eagle were slow to begin. Apollo's Twin and Sharkies Arrow collided soon after the start. Segla and Apollo's Twin collided approaching the first turn. Segla, Apollo's Twin and Eddie Eagle collided on the first turn severely checking Apollo's Twin which fell as a result. Leave Me Out and Yes Sarge collided on the first turn checking Lightning Frank and severely checking Paula Mechelle. Segla and Paula Mechelle collided on the second turn. Leave Me Out and Lightning Frank collided in the home straight.
Apollo's Twin was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a strained ligament in its left metacarpal, mild soreness to its left hamstring and strained triangle muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Lightning Frank, the winner of the event.
