Arvo's McQueen was a late scratching at 8:15am by Order of Stewards. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Dyna Calder, Flying Zarli and Oshkosh Gypsy were slow to begin. Hashtag Johnny, Flying Zarli and Gobbledegook collided soon after the start. Flying Zarli and Gobbledegook collided on the first turn checking Gobbledegook which stumbled as a result. Hashtag Johnny and Gobbledegook collided on the first turn; Gobbledegook tailed off as a result.
