Moon Lightning was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right triceps.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Lucknow Lady was a late scratching at 12.31pm by Order of Stewards after it was established at kenelling that trainer, Mr J Rohan was declared a defaulter with Greyhound Racing Victoria.

Nasty Canasta eased approaching the home turn and again in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr J Forrester the handler of the greyhound Nasty Canasta.  Nasty Canasta was vetted and re-vetted following race 9.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left elbow.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(5), the Stewards charged Nasty Canasta with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(6),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Judges inadvertently semaphored the numbers as 7,2,6,3 and this was quickly amended to 7, 2, 8, 3 prior to the all clear been given.
