Dark Jameson and Ultima Bale were slow to begin. Duomo Bale and Acola Rosebud collided soon after the start, and again approaching the first turn, checking Avola Rosebud. Premier Hawk and Lambda Bale collided approaching the first turn. Avola Rosebud and Bejay The Dejay collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Ultima Bale, Ibrox Digger and Dark Jameson collided on the first turn, checking Ibrox Digger and Dark Jameson. Premier Hawk checked Duomo Bale on the home turn. Premier Hawk and Ibrox Digger collided on the home turn, and again entering the home straight. Bejay The Dejay checked off Dark Jameson in the home straight.
Ultima Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a cut to the right ear, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
