Steward's Report

A pre race sample was taken from Draper Bale.

Kosmikos, Draper Bale and Northern Ghost collided soon after the start, checking Northern Ghost.  Electro Bale and Who Told Lindylu collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Who Told Lindylu, Benson, Kosmikos, Draper Bale and Northern Ghost.   Better Beware checked off Who Told Lindylu approaching the home turn.  Better Beware, Benson and Draper Bale collided on the home turn, checking all three greyhounds.  Draper Bale marred the running of Better Beware in the home straight, checking Better Beware.

Draper Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr B Shillington, the handler of the greyhound Draper Bale regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Draper Bale with marring. Mr B Shillington pleaded guilty to the charge, Draper Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
