Jet Setting and Jodiels were slow to begin. Purple Pie, Magic Bunny, Immeasurable and Rumbalina collided soon after the start, causing Immeasurable to fall. Purple Pie and Magic Bunny collided on the first turn, checking Purple Pie. Rumbalina raced wide on the first turn. Purple Pie and Rumbalina collided approaching the second turn. Vasile Boy eased on the third turn and raced wide. Purple Pie checked off Rumbalina approaching the winning post. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. V. Mihalache, the trainer of the greyhound Vasile Boy regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the third turn. Vasile Boy was vetted and re-vetted following the event five.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left hind tricep muscle, a ten stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Vasile Boy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Mihalache pleaded guilty to the charge, Vasile Boy was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Purple Pie was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Brown, the trainer of the greyhound Purple Pie.  Stewards deemed the performance of Purple Pie unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Purple Pie must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Immeasurable was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Rumbalina was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
