A. Bishop, Trainer of Ceejay Whim redeclared a new weight of 32.0 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Ceejay Whim last raced at 30.8. Stewards also spoke to Mr Bishop with regard to the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Ceejay Whim last raced on 3 March 2015. Mr. Bishop stated that Ceejay Whim was returning to racing after suffering a right shoulder injury.
Miss Shirleen, Old Jock, Manbo Man and Arejay Smokey collided soon after the start, checking Miss Shirleen, Old Jock and Manbo Man. Thelma's Man, Arejay Smokey and Ceejay Whim collided approaching the second turn. Thelma's Man checked off Ceejay Whim approaching the second turn.
