A. Bishop, Trainer of Ceejay Whim redeclared a new weight of 32.0 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Ceejay Whim last raced at 30.8. Stewards also spoke to Mr Bishop with regard to the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Ceejay Whim last raced on 3 March 2015. Mr. Bishop stated that Ceejay Whim was returning to racing after suffering a right shoulder injury. 

Miss Shirleen, Old Jock, Manbo Man and Arejay Smokey collided soon after the start, checking Miss Shirleen, Old Jock and Manbo Man.  Thelma's Man, Arejay Smokey and Ceejay Whim collided approaching the second turn.  Thelma's Man checked off Ceejay Whim approaching the second turn.  Miss Shirleen checked off Arejay Smokay on the second turn.  Miss Shirleen and Arejay Smokey collided approaching the winning post.  Manbo Man and Ceejay Whim collided approaching the winning post.  Ceejay Whim tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Iroquois Souljah, Simply Elusive and Destinee Saint were slow to begin.  Seductive Torch, Starbright Solar and Lotsa Beer collided soon after the start, checking Starbright Solar and Lotsa Beer.  Simple Elusive and Destinee Saint collided approaching the first turn.  Seductive Torch and Starbright Solar collided on the first turn, checking Starbright Solar, Simple Elusive and Lotsa Beer, and severely checking Seductive Torch.  Undercutter checked off Super Easy on the first turn, checking Destinee Saint, severely checking Undercutter and Iroquois Souljah which raced wide, and severely checking Lotsa Beer.  Starbright Solar and Destinee Saint collided approaching the home turn.

Undercutter was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left medial thigh, a five day stand down period was imposed.

Lotsa Beer was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Iroquois Souljah was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right tricep muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Super Easy - the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to K. Brooks trainer of the greyhound, Iannone, with regard to the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Iannone last raced on 8 March 2015. Ms. Brooks stated that Iannone was returning to racing after suffering a left metacarpal injury. 

This race started approximately three minutes late after it was established Fill It Again was wearing an incorrect racing rug.

Temkoola Heat was quick to begin.  Fill It Again, Iannone and Quick Shanks were slow to begin.  Cyclone Dottie, Chief Red Cloud and Arlo Bale collided approaching the first turn, checking Chief Red Cloud.  Cyclone Dottie checked off Arlo Bale on the first turn, checking Arlo Bale, and severely checking Cyclone Dottie, Iannone and Fill It Again.  Quick Shanks raced wide in the home straight.

Fill It Again was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured bilateral medial thigh, a three day stand down period was imposed.

Subsequent to the event Stewards charged trainer, Sean Lithgow, with a breach of rule GAR86(o), in that he paraded the greyhound Fill It Again to the starting boxes whilst the greyhound was wearing an incorrect racing rug.  Mr Lithgow pleaded guilty to the charge.  Mr Lithgow was found guilty and was fined $200.

Eaglehawk Beffa and Alpha Ares were slow to begin.  California Club, Pirlo and Transylvania collided soon after the start, checking California Club.  Eaglehawk Beffa and Alpha Ares collided on the first turn, checking Eaglehawk Beffa.  Cigar Club and Transylvania collided approaching the home turn.  Eaglehawk Beffa and Transylvania collided on the home turn.  Cigar Club checked off Nevada Triangle entering the home straight.  Nevada Triangle and California Club collided in the home straight.

Sheza Black Rose was a late scratching at 8.57AM due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Crymelon Scylla was quick to begin.  Mepunga Treasure was slow to begin.  My Pocket Rocket and Mepunga Treasure collided on the first turn.  Crymelon Scylla checked off My Pocket Rocket on the home turn, checking Lichfield Angel.  Mepunga Rosie and Mepunga Treasure collided in the home straight.

Wilson's Dream and Ressler were slow to begin.  Gaelic Peter checked off Stop Moochin' approaching the first turn.  Pud and Stop Moochin' collided on the first turn, checking Pud.  Wilson's Dream and Wind Whistler collided on the first turn, checking Wilson's Dream.  Gaelic Peter and Ressler collided on the first turn, checking Gaelic Peter.  Wind Whistler checked off No Boots on the home turn.

Tommy El was slow to begin.  China Rose, Angel Of Music, Aqua Lamont, Duomo Bale and Cette Away collided approaching the first turn, checking Angel Of Music, Aqua Lamont and Duomo Bale.  Elbow Room and Cette Away collided on the first turn, checking Cette Away.  Angel Of Music and Tommy El collided on the first turn.  Aqua Lamont and Duomo Bale collided on the first turn, causing both greyhounds to race wide.  China Rose checked off Cette Away on the first turn.  Angel Of Music and Tommy El collided approaching the home turn.  Aqua Lamont checked off Duomo Bale approaching the home turn and crossed to the outside.  Angel Of Music and Tommy El collided on the home turn.

Know Danger, Jordy Shiack and Diva's Shadow collided soon after the start, checking Jordy Shiack.  Kraken Flash checked off Upset Boy on the first turn, checking Ringer, Money Come Back, Know Danger and Jordy Shiack.  Money Come Back and Upset Boy collided on the second turn, checking Money Come Back.  Kraken Flash and Know Danger collided on the second turn.  Money Come Back and Diva's Shadow collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Dura Mater was slow to begin.  Little Bit More checked off Brother Moses approaching the first turn.  Dura Mater, Brother Moses and Brickley collided on the first turn, checking Dura Mater, Brother Moses, Brickley and Rusty's Cape, and causing Brother Moses to become unbalanced.  Dura Mater and Little Bit More collided approaching the home turn.  Brickley checked off Rusty's Cape on the home turn, and  raced wide as a result.  Brother Moses and Leroy The Boy raced wide entering the home straight.

Forrest Max, Alpha Aphrodite and Marvelous Marvin were slow to begin.  Marvelous Marvin crossed to rail on the first turn, checking Alpha Aphrodite, Kinloch Creek and Forrest Max.  Stagger Pace checked off Convoy on the first turn.  Any Silvers Bro and Marvelous Marvin collided approaching the home turn.  Stagger Pace and Forrest Max collided approaching the winning post.

Carlanna Sharna, Thermal Expanse and Bright Flame were slow to begin.  Carlanna Sharna checked off Eddie Yap approaching the first turn.  Corgi Cry and Eddie Yap collided approaching the first turn, checking Corgi Cry.  Draper Bale checked off Eddie Yap on the first turn, checking Corgi Cry and Carlanna Sharna.  Eddie Yap and Evening In Parish collided on the first turn, checking Eddie Yap.  She Can't Run checked off Bright Flame on the first turn, checking Eddie Yap, and severely checking Evening In Paris.  Carlanna Sharna raced wide on the home turn.

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Middian trialled over the 410m from box three, weight 25.0 kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four. The time of the trial was 23:94, the greyhound beaten a margin of five lengths. Middian was Cleared.
