Steward's Report

A pre-race sample was taken from Miss Rossi.

Reignlee and Borris Delight were quick to begin and collided soon after the start.  Jackdell and Paragon Diamond collided soon after the start checking Paragon Diamond.  Reignlee and Borris Delight collided approaching the first turn.  Paragon Diamond raced wide on the first turn.  Jackdell and Oaklands collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Jackdell.  Borris Delight checked off Reignlee on the first turn.  Reignlee and Jackdell collided entering the home straight.  Reignlee, Jackdell and Oaklands collided in the home straight.  Jackdell failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight.  Reignlee and Oaklands collided approaching the winning post.

Jackdell was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr B. Hiscock, Trainer of Jackdell.   Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Jackdell with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Hiscock pleaded guilty to the charge, Jackdell was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
