Steward's Report
Uno Baz and Nuggets were slow to begin. Princess Jamena crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Burnsy's Ocker, Mr. Rosato, Nulla's Flash, Upward Spiral and Uno Baz. Uno Baz, Mr. Rosato, Nulla's Flash and Nuggets collided on the first turn causing Nulla's Flash to fall, severely checking Nuggets which stumbled and subsequently tailed off. Upward Spiral was tailed off.
Nulla's Flash was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right stifle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Nuggets was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Upward Spiral was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent in jury found. Trainer Mr. B. Harper declined the option to have the greyhound revetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Harper, the trainer of the greyhound Upward Spiral. Stewards deemed the performance of Upward Spiral unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71 directed that Upward Spiral must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
