Been Gifted and Paw Torrie were quick to begin.
Bakali Surprise (marred South Thailand in the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Leland Medcraft regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Bakali Surprise was charged with marring. Trainer Mr Medcraft pleaded not guilty to the charge. Bakali Surprise was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Meadows only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
