Steward's Report
Warm Hugs and Sarsaparilla Kid were quick to begin.
Paw Tonk (checked and fell turning in to the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hamstring injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Reiko Terror (turned head outwards turning out of the front straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined folloiwing race 9. Reiko Terror was found to have a right shoulder and right back muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr Joseph Barbara regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Reiko Terror was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Barbara pleaded not guilty to the charge. Reiko Terror was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
