Steward's Report
Darnum Dazzler, Saleena Bale and Aston Denton were quick to begin.
Darnum Dazzler (severely checked entering the home straight, eased and subsequently pulled up) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Peter Handley regarding Darnum Dazzler's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Darnum Dazzler was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Handley pleaded guilty to the charge. Darnum Dazzler was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Aston Denton - the winner of the event.
