Steward's Report
Reuben Hill and Jazzy Hope were quick to begin.
Gunai Hurricane (visibly eased in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury reported. Mr. John Barbara declined the opportunity to have the greyhound re-examined. Stewards spoke to Mr. Barbara regarding Gunai Hurricane's racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Gunai Hurricane was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Barbara pleaded guilty to the charge. Gunai Hurricane was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
