Nurse Ally and Flash Lee were very slow out. Small Peabo, Liege and Peabo's Daughter were slow out. Liege and Houdini Lass collided approaching the first turn, checking Houdini Lass. Liege checked off Paramount Chief on the first turn, checking Houdini Lass as a result. Nurse Ally and Good Company collided on the first turn, checking Nurse Ally and severely checking Peabo's Daughter. Houdini Lass and Good Company collided on the home turn and again in the home straight. Small Peabo, which performed poorly, was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Petersen, the trainer of the greyhound Small Peabo. Stewards deemed the performance of Small Peabo unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Small Peabo must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
