Hippy Princess, Colorada and Smurf's Zandra collided on the first turn checking Colorada and Smurf's Zandra. Hippy Princess and Whelan collided entering the back straight. Gruesome, Smurf's Senorita and Nearly Midnight collided on the second turn checking Gruesome and Smurf's Senorita. Colorada and Gruesome collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Colorada and Where's Freeman collided approaching the home turn. Smurf's Senorita and Nearly Midnight collided on the home turn. Gruesome raced wide entering the home straight. Smurf's Senorita checked off Nearly Midnight in the home straight. Colorada eased approaching the winning post and collided with Smurf's Senorita. Colarada was vetted and after being re vetted following event 10, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hock. No stand down penalty was applied. Acting under GAR 69(1)(b) stewards charged Colarada with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Sale and directed that the greyhound perform a STAT, pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
