Darcy Dungood checked off the heels of Mossy Flex on the home turn severely checking Flicka Friend, Vermeulen Flex and Tick It. Tick It eased entering the home straight checking Mossy Flex. White On Rice and Mossy Flex collided in the home straight. Darcy Dungood, Mossy Flex and Tick It collided approaching the winning post. Mossy Flex was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Vermeulen Flex was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shoulder, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Tick It was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Tick It was revetted. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left and right pencil muscle and right metacarpal, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR98(1)(d), the stewards charged Tick It with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, before any future nomination will be accepted.
