Dijamaka Buck crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Pearls Of Wisdom, Camshaft, Swan Lake, Cool Colorado, Impulsive Lady and Supersmart Jet. Cool Colorado checked off the heels of Supersmart Jet on the first turn checking Pearls Of Wisdom, Camshaft and Impulsive Lady. Cool Colorado and Impulsive Lady collided on the home turn. Candy Power, Camshaft, Swan Lake and Cool Colorado collided on the home turn, Candy Power raced wide as a result. Camshaft checked off the heels of Swan Lake in the home straight. Dijamaka Buck checked off the heels of Supersmart Jet approaching the winning post.
Candy Power was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left thigh injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
