Atlas Ice clipped the heels of Miracle Power approaching the first turn. Bowl Over and Miracle Power collided on the first turn, severely checking Bowl Over. Schinus eased on the first turn and tailed off. Gypsy Boy and Ourgirl Mary collided on the first turn. Atlas Ice and Ourgirl Mary collided on the second turn. Gypsy Boy checked off the heels of Miracle Power approaching the home turn. Dysfunctional checked off the heels of Bowl Over on the home turn. Schinus was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injury to Left Hind Pad, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 98.(1)(d) stewards charged Schinus with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a STAT before any future nomination will be accepted.
