Fester Crawford eased approaching the home turn checking Ladari and Brayden Leigh. Talkin' Magee eased approaching the home turn checking Jabber Wocky and collided with Ladari, Brayden Leigh and Fester Crawford as a result. Trusty Star checked off the heels of Talkin' Magee on the home turn. Talkin' Magee was vetted following the Event and after being revetted, Dr. Y. Indrawirawan, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon reported that she could find no injury apparent with the greyhound. Stewards charged Talkin' Magee with contravention of AGRR 80.2 for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the home turn. After taking evidence from Trainer, M. Thomas, acting on their own observations and viewing the official video film, the Stewards found Talkin' Magee guilty as charged. Acting in accordance with AGRR 81.1, the Stewards directed that Talkin' Magee be stood down from competing for 28 days at Sandown Park only and will require the greyhound to perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will again be accepted. Fester Crawford was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Indrawirawan reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right triangle muscle and recommended that the greyhound be stood down from competing for 10 days.
