Steward's Report

Assassinate was slow out. Urangsir, Alabama Miss, Ekala Impact and Limestone Beam collided soon after the start checking Alabama Miss and Ekala Impact. Ekala Impact and Assassinate collided approaching the first turn. Arvo's Rita and Assassinate collided on the first turn. Urangsir checked off the heels of Sparks A Flying on the second turn. Alabama Miss eased entering the back straight and pulled up as a result. Assassinate eased on the third turn checking Urangsir. Urangsir and Assassinate collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Sparks A Flying and Ekala Impact collided om the home turn. Assassinate eased in the home straight checking Urangsir on several occasions. Alabama Miss was vetted following the Event and Dr. Y. Indrawirawan, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the neck and recommended the greyhound be stood down from competing for 5 days. Stewards charged Alabama Miss with contravention of AGRR 80.2 for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment entering the back straight. After taking evidence from Trainer, B. Keel, and taking into account the injuries sustained, the Stewards invoked AGRR 82.1(d) in lieu of AGRR 80.2 and will require the greyhound to perform a Satisfactory (all tracks) before any future nomination will again be accepted. Assassinate was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Indrawirawan reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right triangle muscle and recommended the greyhound be stood down from competing for 10 days. Stewards charged Assassinate with contravention of AGRR 80.2 for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment on the third turn and again in the home straight. After taking evidence from Trainer, R. Keating, and taking into account the injuries sustained to the greyhound, the Stewards invoked AGRR 82.1(d) in lieu of AGRR 80.2 and have directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any fu
