Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Cribb, the Stewards will stand Remo Blaster down from competing for 7 days. A swab sample was taken from Pure Steel, the winner of the Event.

Ducal Princess and Vivacious Vixen were slow out. Helavon Flo and Crazy Fantasy collided soon after the start checking Crazy Fantasy. Virginia Allen, Vivacious Vixen and Can Tango collided soon after the start checking Vivacious Vixen. Can Tango checked off the heels of Virginia Allen on the first turn and raced wide. Helavon Flo checked off the heels of Vegout Lass on the second turn checking Virginia Allen. Helavon Flo and Virginia Allen collided in the back straight. Can Tango checked off the heels of Crazy Fantasy on the third turn checking Ducal Princess. Virginia Allen was vetted following the Event and Dr. Narelle Cribb, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the right hind foot. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Cribb, the Stewards will stand Virginia Allen down from competing for 3 days. Swab samples were taken from placegetters - Maureen Shirly (1st) and Vegout Lass (2nd). Following the running of the Event, Horizon Star (weight 30.6kgs) trialled over 515 metres starting from Box 3. The sectional times recorded by the Judge were as follows: 5.32: 19.34: 30.21.

Fool Of Aces and Mepunga Wish collided soon after the start. Oizdon Spice, Endless Pit and Jacarrest collided approaching the first turn checking Oizdon Spice. Endless Pit and Fool Of Aces collided in the front straight. Oizdon Spice raced wide in the back straight. Stewards noted that Last Quoted convulsed on pulling up in the catching pen. Last Quoted was vetted and Dr. Narelle Cribb, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound was found to be suffering from hyperthermia with an erratic heart rate. Last Quoted was subsequently transported to the South Eastern Emergency Centre for further tests and treatment. Dr. Cribb recommended that Last Quoted be stood down from competing for 14 days.

Something Wild and Best Quoted were slow out. Pristine Litenin and Something Wild collided approaching the second turn. Minnie Minor, Memory Lost and Planet Moon collided on the third turn checking Memory Lost and Planet Moon. Memory Lost checked off the heels of Planet Moon entering the back straight. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Cribb, the Stewards will stand Magic Trance down from competing for 3 days. Stewards charged Magic Trance in contravention of GAR96(2) for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. After taking evidence from Handler, George Dailly (representing Trainer - Andrea Dailly) and taking into account the injuries sustained to the greyhound, the Stewards invoked GAR98(1)(d) in lieu of GAR96(2) and have directed the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will again be accepted.

Dyna Caitlan, All The Moves, Free Roller and Youth Worker were slow out. Dyna Caitlan and Gordon's Larry collided soon after the start. Dyna Caitlan faltered soon after the start and lost ground.
