Steward's Report
Remo Blaster, Stately King and Ricky Allen were slow out. Ricky Allen and Sisco Chick collided soon after the start. Sisco Chick and Spa Juney collided approaching the first turn. Sisco Chick, Pure Steel and Gembrook Hill collided on the first turn checking Remo Blaster, Sisco Chick and Gembrook Hill. Stately King checked off the heels of Spa Juney on the first turn checking Ricky Allen which raced wide as a result. Spa Juney and Gembrook Hill collided on the second turn checking Spa Juney. Remo Blaster and Spa Juney collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.
Remo Blaster was vetted following the Event and Dr. Narelle Cribb, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right monkey muscle and left back muscle. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Cribb, the Stewards will stand Remo Blaster down from competing for 7 days.
A swab sample was taken from Pure Steel, the winner of the Event.
