Steward's Report
Donaghadee and Brandy Queen were slow out. Star Flex and Rylee's Reward collided soon after the start. Donaghadee, Star Flex and Brandy Queen collided approaching the first turn. Rylee's Reward raced wide approaching the first turn. Donaghadee and Brandy Queen collided approaching the first turn checking Donaghadee. Star Flex and Brandy Queen collided on the first turn. Chewy Rumballs, Donaghadee and Boomeron collided on the third turn. Donaghadee checked off the heels of Chewy Rumballs on the home turn checking Boomeron and Brandy Queen. Donaghadee, Star Flex and Boomeron collided in the home straight. Rylee's Reward raced wide in the home straight.
Star Flex clipped the heels of Donaghadee as the greyhounds entered the Catching Pen following the race and and fell. A subsequent veterinary examination by Dr. Narelle Cribb, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured neck and died at the scene.
