Steward's Report

Flaming Embers, Lamrock Bale, Dyna Ricky and Solid Mandala were slow out. Lamrock Bale and Dyna Ricky collided soon after the start checking Dyna Ricky. Dynamic Fool, Fireplace, Party Issue and Solid Mandala collided approaching the first turn checking Dynamic Fool, Party Issue and Solid Mandala. Flaming Embers and Tanya's Star collided on the first turn. Fireplace and Party Issue collided on the first turn. Solid Mandala galloped on the heels of Dyna Ricky on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds. Fireplace and Party Issue collided on the second turn. Flaming Embers, Fireplace and Party Issue collided approaching the home turn. Flaming Embers, Dyna Ricky and Party Issue collided on the home turn. Flaming Embers was vetted following the Event and after being revetted, Dr. Michael Bell, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left wrist. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Bell, the Stewards will stand Flaming Embers down from competing for 5 days. Solid Mandala was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Bell reported that he could find no injury apparent with the greyhound. A swab sample was taken from Lamrock Bale, the winner of the Event.
