Steward's Report
Bethanga was slow out. Choda Stan, Quickfire Lady and Frehley's Comet collided soon after the start checking Quickfire Lady. Choda Stan checked off the heels of Frehley's Comet approaching the first turn. Bethanga checked off the heels of Headley Bale approaching the first turn checking Quickfire Lady. Wendy's Amy and Frehley's Comet collided on the first turn. Choda Stan checked off the heels of Quickfire Lady on the first turn. Wendy's Amy checked off the heels of Frehley's Comet approaching the second turn. Choda Stan raced wide approaching the second turn and again in the back straight. Blackwood Prince and Wendy's Amy collided on the second turn checking Wendy's Amy and Frehley's Comet. Wendy's Amy and Frehley's Comet collided approaching the third turn. Bethanga and Headley Bale collided on the third turn. Quickfire Lady checked off the heels of Frehley's Comet entering the home straight.
Choda Stan was vetted following the event and Dr Steve Karamatic, the club's veterinary surgeon reported that he could find no injury apparent with the greyhound.
Steward spoke to Ms A Ralph, the handler of the greyhound Choda Stan. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Choda Stan must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
