Silly As Strop was slow out. Coop Jak and Prince Flirty collided soon after the start. Shrek's Queen crossed to the rail soon after the start, severely checking Golden Reactor and Burnsy's Mate. Stick With It, Snow Knight and Coop Jak collided approaching the first turn, checking Stick With It. Coop Jak checked off Prince Flirty approaching the first turn. Snow Knight, Prince Flirty and Shrek's Queen collided on the first turn, checking Prince Flirty. Stick With It checked off Prince Flirty on the first turn, checking Coop Jak and Silly As Strop. Stick With It and Silly As Strop collided approaching the home turn, checking Silly As Strop. Coop Jak raced wide entering the home straight.
Silly As Strop was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left wrist. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
