At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 34.4 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.1 degrees. Bakali Lass (turned it's head outwards approaching the winning post) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 4, no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms. Kate Jackson regarding Bakali Lass's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Bakali Lass was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Jackson pleaded guilty to the charge. Bakali Lass was suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Rhyme Dust and Mighty Jo were slow to begin.

Stagger's Babe (faltered on the home turn and lost ground), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right tricep injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Moe Patty was quick to begin. Galveston was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Jed's Memory was slow to begin.

Puzzle Avenue was slow to begin. Wardan Jilungin raced wide approaching the home turn.

Bold Bert was slow to begin.

Pegleg Pete raced wide in the back straight to the first turn.

Cheap Charlie [checked on the turn into the home straight],underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising and laceration injuries to both hind legs. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Greg Berry regarding the racing manners of Cheap Charlie in the concluding stages of the event. After hearing submissions from, Mr. Berry viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.

Raging Cable [checked in the back straight],underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising and laceration injuries to the left hind leg. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre–race sample was taken from Desmonde.

A post-race sample was taken from the winner - Cold That Night.

Pursuant to the GRV Hot Weather Policy, Stewards dispensed with two requirements prior to Race 7, meaning greyhounds were no longer required to remain on course for the specified time, and that the parading of greyhounds was to occur, as the outside temperature had decreased to a reasonable level.

Stewards spoke to Ms. Brenda Kinder regarding Zip Oak’s racing manners on the turn into the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Zip Oak was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Kinder pleaded guilty to the charge. Zip Oak must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
