Evil Edna was quick to begin.
Zip Oak (turned it's head outwards on the turn into the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a triceps injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. Brenda Kinder regarding Zip Oak’s racing manners on the turn into the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Zip Oak was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Kinder pleaded guilty to the charge. Zip Oak must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
