 Mary's Tam was quick to begin. Burtundy Rum checked off Harvest Gold soon after the start. Slipaway Anna checked off Trias on the first turn. Trias, Tiger Pride and Short Leg collided on the first turn, checking Short Leg. Harvest Gold galloped on the heels of Short Leg approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds.

Court Gift and Smiling Sorcerer were slow to begin. Ego's Lady and Kilty Boy collided soon after the start. Skye Warrior and Mylina Sparkle collided on the first turn, checking Skye Warrior and SMiling Sorcerer, and severely checking Court Gift which stumbled as a result. Secret Mantra raced wide approaching the home turn checking Cullquin Jake. Secret Mantra eased approaching the home turn and again approaching the winning post. Kilty Boy, Secret Mantra and Cullquin Jake collided on the home turn, checking Secret Mantra and Cullquin Jake.

Stewards spoke to K. Ashton, the trainer of the greyhound Secret Mantra regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Secret Mantra was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right pencil muscle and spike wounds to the right hind toe, a five day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Secret Mantra with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  K. Ashton pleaded guilty to the charge, Secret Mantra was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Court Gift was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Cullquin Jake was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards issued a warning to Ms. S. Quinlan, the handler of Cullquin Jake regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Stewards took into account the pressure suffered from Secret Mantra to Cullquin Jake's inside. 

Smiling Sorcerer was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained track leg injuries, a five day stand down period was imposed. Stewards issued a warning to Mr. R. Tolson, trainer of Smiling Sorcerer regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn.

Charlie's Man was slow to begin. Full Of Dee checked off Southwood Jack on the first turn. Slipaway Simba checked off King Of Sunshine on the first turn. Slipaway Simba, Download, Southwood Jack and Lektra Vision collided on the first turn, checking Download and severely checking Southwood Jack. Slipaway Simba checked off Lektra Vision approaching the home turn.

Samurai Spike and Barbarose Boy collided soon after the start, checking Barbarose Boy. Barbarose Boy and Miss Icy Fantasy collided soon after the start, checking Miss Icy Fantasy. Jinx Benz and Libstar collided soon after the start, checking Libstar. Miss Icy Fantasy brushed the running rail on the first turn. Miss Icy Fantasy galloped on the heels of Jinx Benz in the home straight, checking Miss Icy Fantasy. Libstar eased approaching the winning post.

Libstar was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left pencil muscle, a seven day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Libstar with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. R. Dynamic Dash was vetted following the event and revetted following event eight. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left stifle, a five day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Niele, trainer of Dynamic Dash regarding the greyhounds racing manners over the concluding stages. Mr. Niele stated that Dynamic Dash has a tendency to strike itself in its races and felt in his opinion the greyhound had struck itself approaching the winning post. Stewards noted Mr. Niele's comments and took no further action. 

Zegna and Jetty Road were quick to begin. Harry Aztec and Tommy Winslow were slow to begin. Funda Fault was very slow to begin (6 lengths). All Bolts, Harry Aztec, Mufasa Pride and Tommy Winslow collided soon after the start, checking Tommy Winslow. Mufasa Pride, Funda Fault, Tommy Winslow and Western Reign collided approaching the first turn, checking Mufasa Pride and Western Reign. Mufasa Pride and Western Reign collided approaching the first turn. All Bolts and Tommy Winslow collided approaching the first turn, checking Tommy Winslow. Western Reign and Tommy Winslow collided approaching the home turn, checking Western Reign. Western Reign and Funda Fault collided on the home turn, checking Funda Fault. Jetty Road was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left and right wrists, a seven day stand down period was imposed.

 Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Brown, the handler of the greyhound Funda Fault and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's box manners.

Cullquin Marty was a late scratching at 5.03pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an elevated tempretature. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

 Loves A Vic was slow to begin. Bryce's Boy, Kay Cee Smack and With Pleasure collided soon after the start. Uno Krypto, Lektra Coin and Bryce's Boy collided on the first turn, checking Lektra Coin and Bryce's Boy. Lektra Coin, With Pleasure and Loves A Vic collided approaching the home turn, severely checking all three runners.

With Pleasure was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left elbow, no stand down period was imposed.

Kadali was quick to begin. Cosmic Creation was slow to begin. Tear Away Scar was very slow to begin (2 lengths). Vapour Patch and Black Rum collided soon after the start. Kuschy's Krypto, Reigning Thrill and College Lease collided approaching the first turn, checking Kushy's Krypto and Reigning Thrill. Kushy's Krypto and Reigning Thrill collided approaching the first turn, checking Reigning Thrill. Cosmic Creation checked off Reigning Thrill approaching the first turn, checking Reigning Thrill. Vapour Patch and Kadali collided on the first turn, checking Kadali. Kadali and College Lease collided approaching the home turn, checking Kadali.

Jack's Wild Fire, Hurricane Bertha and Lektra Bartel collided soon after the start, checking Hurricane Bertha. Tallinn contacted the running rain on the first turn and lost ground as a result. Uncanny checked off Jack's Wild Fire on the first turn. Tallinn, Bradfield and Lektra Bartel collided approaching the home turn, checking Bradfield and Lektra Bartel. Cimarron Winslow and Lektra Bartel collided on the home turn. Hurrican Bertha checked off Cimarron Winslow approaching the winning post.

Mr. J. Hardy was fined the sum of $50 for his failure to produce the registration card for the greyhound Dee Runk pursuant to GAR 33.

Mr. P. Keane, trainer of Mighty Sam redeclared a new weight of 31.7 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Mighty Sam last raced at 33.1.

Lektra Robbie was slow to begin. Jim Trott and Mighty Sam collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Counting Stars crossed to the rails soon after the start, checking Jim Trott and Mighty Sam. Somebody's Image checked off Jim Trott on the first turn. Counting Stars galloped on the heels of Dee Runk on the first turn, checking Jim Trott and Dee Runk. Somebody's Image and Dee Runk collided on the home turn. Jim Trott and Counting Stars collided several times in the home straight.
