Spa Cheang was quick to begin.
Bassyappa, Mahogany Bart, Garman Bale and Hold On Beau collided soon after the start checking Garman Bale and Hold On Beau. Flippin' Good, Bassyappa and Mahogany Bart collided approaching the first turn severely checking Mahogany Bart which fell as a result. Bassyappa checked off Hold On Beau on the first turn. Hold On Beau and Flippin' Good collided on the first turn. Hold On Beau and Spa Cheang collided on the first turn checking Spa Cheang. Bassyappa checked off Kinloch Creek approaching the home turn. Kinloch Creek and Flippin' Good collided on the home turn checking Kinloch Creek. Garman Bale and Ready Jet Go collided on the home turn.
Mahogany Bart was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind toe. No stand down period was imposed.
