Jack Winter and Next Grange were slow to begin.

Next Grange, Gee Double You and Horsham Myth collided soon after the start. Jack Winter and Cincinnati Lee collided approaching the first turn. Jack Winter and Next Grange collided approaching the first turn checking Next Grange and severely checking Jack Winter which contacted the running rail as a result. Gee Double You and Horsham Myth collided on the first turn. Proven Glady and Cruisen Billy collided on the first turn. Cincinnati Lee and Horsham Myth collided approaching the home turn. Next Grange contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. Gee Double You and Cruisen Billy both raced wide in the home straight and collided, checking both greyhounds. 

Jack Winter was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the tail. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Next Grange was vetted following the event and revetted following race 6. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right triceps and a spike wound to the right forearm. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
