Steward's Report
Devil In Me – Late scratching at 7:43am when Trainer Ms K.King reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
Holding Pattern and Rapid Paws were slow to begin.
Aeroplane Erin (turned head outwards and marred Who Knows approaching the winning post) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr B.Merton regarding Aeroplane Erins’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Aeroplane Erin was charged with marring. Mr Merton pleaded guilty to the charge. Aeroplane Erin was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks (2nd offence) and must perform a Satisfactory Trials in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
